The Nazis did not start with genocide.
First, they accused Jews and immigrants of stealing jobs from Germans. They claimed Jews were killing babies and drinking their blood. Sounds similar to Republican claims that immigrants are stealing jobs, Democrats kill babies, and immigrants eat cats and dogs.
Then, the Nazis called for physical violence against their political enemies and the Jews. I recall Trump telling his supporters in 2016 to beat up protestors at his rally, and that he would pay for their legal bills if they did. He also told law enforcement to not cover the heads of people pushed into police cars so that those people would hit their heads. This past month Trump called for a day of violence where police could beat up suspects. Sounds like the Nazi Kristallnacht.
Trump ordered ICE to separate immigrant families and keep them in concentration camps. To this day, some of the children have not been reunited with their families. Sounds similar to what the Nazis did to their “undesirables.”
Hitler told Germany that only he could save the Germans from the Jews and communists. Doesn’t Trump say that only he can save America from communists?

Conservatism
Conservativism was invented by the displaced aristocracy and theocracy after the French revolution. The American and French revolutions were the full implementation of the age of enlightenment and those who ruled by their own proclaimed "divine right" were relegated to being "citizens". The church was pushed out of power and could no long anoint the aristocracy to the role of "divine right" to rule. They need each other to be in power for their private system to work. They thus started a political ideology with the expressed purpose to restore themselves to power. This would gain back in a form their divine right, but hidden behind a controlled and owned election process masked as democracy. They won't call it divine right to rule, but they will change they system for that same end.

Abortion was permitted in the Catholic Church until the 1869's revision of the position by Pope Pius IX. Medically necessary abortions were only condemned in 1930 and it was only 1965 that it was changed from a "sexual sin" to a murder from the perspective of a church.

White evangelicals in the 1970s didn’t initially care about abortion. They organized to defend racial segregation in evangelical institutions — and only seized on banning abortion because it was more palatable than their real goal.
Why do they claim being transgender is "an ideology"?
It manifestly is not. No more than being Italian is an ideology, being gay is, being a woman is.
In order for a fascist system to dehumanise and other their chosen victims they must try and make them appear as unpalatable as possible.
One of the ways in which this is done is by denying their targets even the most basic levels of common ground with their in-group. Their victims must appear to be them. Not human.
Calling an innate, immutable and intrinsically harmless characteristic "an ideology" allows for their rhetoric to get an easy handle, a grip on being able to oppose their very existence.

Of course being transgender is not an ideology. Of course allowing people to be who they are leads to happy, well-adjusted citizens constructively participating in society.
We all know this.
They know it too.
But, as I have written elsewhere, a fascist system must always find a minority group to target and blame for everything wrong with the world, because a fascist system by definition cannot constructively contribute to society itself.
It remains an undeniable fact, a consensus among medical and psychiatric professionals, that the best treatment for being transgender is to transition. It's not even close.
